He completed his Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina. Blake is a former paramedic and a veteran of the Canadian Forces.
Blake currently conducts research on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by assessing ways that technology can improve the individual treatment that a client receives for PTSD and other mental health conditions. His current clinical focus is on the evidence-based treatment of anxiety-related disorders, specifically PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, health anxiety, and depersonalization/derealization associated with anxiety disorders.
Blake’s clinical practice combines aspects of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), depending on the unique challenges that a client is currently experiencing.
Blake coaches his daughter’s softball team in his spare time and enjoys watching anime with his son, running, hunting, and fishing.
