Andy is a third-year PhD student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina. His research is focused on the assessment of pain for older adults with dementia. Andy has completed several clinical practicums, including a four-month full-time master’s internship at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. During this internship, he provided cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to adults with diverse mental health concerns and conducted mental health and neurodevelopmental assessments for children/ youth and adults. He also collaborated with an interdisciplinary team conducting Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) assessments.

 

As a PhD student, Andy completed a four-month practicum at Child and Youth Services in Regina, SK, followed by a year-long practicum at the University of Regina’s Psychology Training Clinic. His training has focused on the assessment and treatment of mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, trauma, personality disorders) and neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., AttentionDeficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability) across the lifespan. Over the past year, he has also trained as a clinical supervisor for master’s-level psychology students and supervised several adult Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) programs.
